Chugging along…

As Heelatch nears its 5 month anniversary, there is no doubt my partner and I thought we’d be a little bit further ahead – in many respects; sales, new clients and jobs, marketing, administrative responsibilities, etc..

Managing (more like co-managing at best if we are speaking literally)  our young families and a big mix of other things make it near impossible to stay on top of everything. I’m not complaining – if anything I’m happy to be busy. If this whole self-employed business owner thing was so easy and that a modest living was a given..a lot more people would be doing it. It is a risk we, like so many others, are willing to take. Our plan is to share this whole experience with you; family, friends, business owners….and most importantly PAYING CUSTOMERS!!! Just kidding – family is the most important – but a paying customer is right up with there with friend…

Like our clients, our mission is to continuously evolve and press forward. Chug if we have to…but always forward.

This ingrained motivation to improve has led us in our early stages to begin developing partnerships with value-added firms that believe in the same things we do.  Things like Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter and a myriad of other industry-specific or product specific social networking platforms has lifted the roof off of the standard structured advertising methods we’re accustomed to seeing on the Net. People and businesses (great example here: www.makeitbloom.com ) are in a position to brand themselves and maintain full control of the virtual picture being painted. In short, we are exploring these forums and will start painting our own picture. Our website will shortly contain links for both our Heelatch Facebook page, as well as links to Heelatch’ Twitter acount if you are interested in following us around – did I say I still wasn’t so sure about this one?? lol.  Our newsletter opt-in subscriber form (which will be issued bi-monthly) will also be on the homepage.

Outside of beefing up our virtual presence, we are taking on a project to serve as a case-study where over the next 2 years we will be re-designing, re-launching, e-commerce enabling, and generating revenue for the non-profit organization by managing affiliates and sponsors.  Our involvement is in exchange for shameless self-promotion – the quality of work we plan to spit out deserves at least this.  The Heelatch newsletter will serve as our outlet for problems encountered throughout the project as well as solutions, successes and accounts of how what we hope to do for this particular organization and how we hope to market our solutions to other organizations.
