Heelatch takes on role of sponsor/organizer for Social Media Breakfast – Montreal

As of this writing, I have requested and been granted the right to act as the local organizer of the Social Media Breakfast (www.socialmediabreakfast.com) for the great City of Montreal. Our company, Heelatch, along with several other soon to be announced groups will act as sponsors for upcoming events in hopes we can offer these network events at zero to very little cost to interested parties.

For those unfamiliar with the idea behind Social Media Breakfast, it is essentially a networking event (breakfast – yes, food, coffee and all) organized by local people/groups interested in holding court for professionals/individuals/businesses on a host of topics covering all aspects of Social Media. Both the setting and discussions are casual and participation from attendees is welcomed and encouraged. Events can double as networking and a lead generating affair.

A topic of discussion or several topics are chosen in advance, and local organizers are charged with soliciting experts within a particular field or with experience related to the subject matter to speak for a give period of time. Panels of experts debating such topics can just as easily be the main draw, as could general discussions among attendees where experts may be lying in wait to talk about one thing or another.

The first such event in Montreal is being planned for the 2nd week of February 2010, and we will be posting topics of discussion as well as location and registration details both here and at our Social Media Breakfast blog.

In the meantime, if you wish to register for the event, or would like to speak about a particular realm of social media, kindly contact me as soon as possible. Also, if you have any ideas as to topics, these too would be greatly appreciated. Contact: jeff@heelatch.com.

Date and location to be posted here no later than Jan.8th, 2010.
